RL:ZZ started as kind of a one-off collaborative effort between Ryan Lipynsky Unearthly Trance) and Andy Lippoldt (Persistance in Mourning) and quickly evolved into an active band. While both Ryan and Andy are in established bands this is not a side project of any kind. RL:ZZ is an entity that stands independently, on it's own. This is the fourth release from RL:ZZ. Part industrial and part ambient but the sound is too eclectic and difficult to describe in full which is where soundcloud is an excellent tool for everyone to investigate for themselves."

RL:ZZ is an ambient project of Andy Lippoldt (Persistence in Mourning) and Ryan Lipynsky (Unearthly Trance).  As far as I know their previous releases were both on Lippoldts Witch Sermon label.  RL:ZZ uses a wide range of sounds including piano, synth, guitar, voices and what sounds like field recordings to compose ominous tracks of ambient bleakness.

Packaging is a 3 color screen printed brad pack designed by Simon Clark

Summer 2012 Update

RL: ZZ is currently working on a new recording called "Phantom Silence"

It will consist of 3 long tracks.

2. these walls do not exist

3. classical morphogenesis

SHRINE COMPLETE!

RL:ZZ [Ryan and Andy] have just completed and mastered the "Shrine" LP after many months of recording and creating. We are both equally pleased and proud of this album. It personally stands for both of us as some of the finest experimental music we've created to date. In the near future there will be a very limited edition version of "Shrine" on CDR  [in DVD case] available as a preview/promo to the vinyl release. More info soon...
